Summer Sereni-Tea Restorative Yoga

Drop into a state of peace and relaxation during June's special restorative event. Feel any stress evaporate and you drift away as Megan guides you into calming postures fully supported by blankets, blocks, and bolsters. Specially formulated essential oil blends will further enhance your practice and cultivate even more ease for breath, body, and mind. Yogis will also enjoy delicious iced tea to end this most delightful evening of serenity.

Monthly Meditation: Trataka

Each month we practice a different meditation style or technique in the hopes of introducing students to something they are more likely to practice on their own. June offers the tradition of Trataka, or single-point gazing. With our gaze to candle flame, Trataka quickly narrows focus and turns attention inward, creating calm and soothing the mind. When this attention is uninterrupted by blinking or movement, the eyes tear, a purifying process known as a shatkriya. This practice requires only the ability to gaze, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners.
